DOYLESTOWN OES TIDBITS
June 2007

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to our Installing Officers for a job well done.  It was a beautiful installation. We wish Sister Elizabeth A. Fetterolf, WM another exciting and fulfilling year.  Her colors are red, white and blue and her flower is the red rose [in honor of Electa's station and her 1st co-workers the Rambling Roses].  Betty's emblem is the United States Flag.  Her scripture is Matthew 7:12 "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."   Her co-workers are the Stars and Stripes.  She is dedicating her year to all Veterans and the Men and Women in the Armed Forces.

MEMORIAL DAY BAKESALE!

Come out and support our Ways and Means Bakesale on Memorial Day at the Mason's Pancake Breakfast at the Masonic Temple.  Any baked goods and donations or participation would certainly be appreciated.  Please contact Sister Abigail Atkinson, AM.  [443-803-9544]

NAME CHANGES

Beginning in June of 2007, the Districts of Pennsylvania will be renamed as Regions. Each Region will be comprised of sub-regions identified by a number and a letter. [WE WILL BE REGION 14B INSTEAD OF DISTRICT 25B.]  When a sub-region falls to only three chapters, that sub-region will be "absorbed" by the Region.  All Sub-Regions are comprised of the same chapters that were in a former District.  The Worthy Grand Matron will now appoint "Deputy Grand Matrons" [the word district and the number have been dropped].  Each sub-region will have a Deputy Grand Matron, and they will work together for their combined Regional Meeting. [This is the same as we have done in the past for combined District Meeting.]  The summer School of Instruction formerly held by each District Deputy Grand Matron in her respective District will now be conducted for an entire Region by Past Grand Matrons and Past Grand Patrons serving as "Regional Advisors" in conjunction with the Deputy Grand Matrons.

REGIONAL SCHOOL OF INSTRUCTION

Our Regional School of Instruction will be held on June 30th at Woodside Masonic Temple on the corner of Heacock and Edgewood Roads [where Neshaminy Chapter meets].  If you need directions please see the Secretary.  The program is a little different than in the past; PGM Jo-Ann E. Lauderman will lead a team of officers who will perform the ritualistic work.  All you need to do is sit back and LEARN.  Please bring your Ritual and Standard Floor Work with you.  Light refreshments will be served between 8:00AM and 8:45AM.  The meeting will start promptly at 9:00 AM.  It is important that all officers attend, but it is for ALL members!  Please mark your calendars
